Dior Aquarius: New chapter of the dior house table arts.

Cordelia de Castellane is once again inspired by the life of Monsieur Dior to offer a chic and inspired tableware!

Dior Aquarius: tableware by Dior.

It is a new collection dedicated to the arts of the table that delivers Cordelia de Castellane. An aquatic collection that draws inspiration directly from one of the properties dear to Christian Dior — his home in Milly-la-ForĂȘt. “Thus protected from every neighbourhood, with the mere sight of my flowers, my canals and my little pond, I can hear in peace the sound of Milly’s bells,” he wrote in his memoirs.

It is here, at the sight of the peaceful river that flows in front of the mill of this country house, that Cordelia de Castellane had the idea of the Dior Aquarius collection.

“I am very traditional but I am also spontaneous. I am never nostalgic but I respect the past and integrate it into the present. And what I love most of all is twisting things to redo them in a new way,” said the artistic director of Dior Maison in 2021.

This collection of tableware thus brings to the skies marine poetry. On beautiful dishes, we find freshwater fish, adorned with luminous shades of blue and green

But also very detailed illustrations of underwater creatures. Grigris dear to Dior himself, such as the starfish, inspired by the stars of Monsieur Dior, or the shells, evoke the imagery of trips to the beach.

They wave elegantly on Dior glassware pieces — pieces blown in Italy, or these ceramic plates, beautifully crafted in France!

Cordelia de Castellane delivers here a virtuoso collection, where, to top of refinement, the linen table linen is delicately embroidered and painted by hand. Motifs inspired by the Toile de Jouy style, Dior’s signature.
