If, lately, you have been or are looking for a Porsche 911, you have most certainly noticed a fairly significant rise in prices, and especially a phenomenal growth according to the model.

The latest air-cooled Porsche, the famous 993, has seen its prices increase considerably, and the most exclusive, rarest models are now traded for an exorbitant price, as was the case with a model put on sale by Bring A Trailer, the famous American auction house.

Indeed, the 1997 Porsche 911 (993) Turbo, that was owned by actor Denzel Washington, has been sold for $405,993, so approximately €365,000. The two Oscars-winning actors, a real Porsche fan, has only driven 18,145 miles, so around 29,000 km, in the last 25 years.

Putting aside the -rather old- age of the car, the photos show a carefully preserved car. Indeed, before being offered for auction, it was entitled to a complete detailing that gave all its magnificence back.

Of course, the fact that it belonged to Denzel Washington, who demonstrated his talent on films such as “Malcolm X” and “The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3” helped to reach this tremendous sum.
