Listen up nostalgic folk! The famed trainers brand Converse has opened a pop-up shop in Paris until April 21st. 160 m2 dedicated to the most timeless of athletic shoes that will exhibit both mythical and exclusive styles as well as giving Converse addicts the chance to customize their precious kicks.

Converse is first and foremost a concept. It is THE relaxed and comfortable shoe par excellence, created in 1917 by the marquis Mills Converse. He decided to create shoes with a rubber heel so that they wouldn’t slip; and so the All Star was born. It was basketball player Chuck Taylor that further developed the brand by proposing innovations to adapt his shoes to his passion. High tops, slender lines, and a sporty cut helped them metamorphose for the first time in 1962: the shorter version â€“ Oxford â€“ would go on to replace Chucks and also earn a definitive place in the American psyche. The star-sealed brand has become not just a simple sports accessory, but a veritable state of mind.

Make your way over to Paris’ 10th arrondissement (19, rue Yves Toudic) and (re)discover these footwear All Stars!
