Founded in 1885, this legendary café at 6 place Saint-Germain-des-Prés has hosted iconic figures such as Jean-Paul Sartre, Simone de Beauvoir, and Ernest Hemingway.

As of summer 2024, the institution is writing a new chapter in its history – Comptoirs Les Deux Magots now offers the possibility to take a piece of gastronomy with you… It’s about strolling with a piece of Parisian history and creativity in your hand, savoring every step through the inspiring streets of Saint-Germain-des-Prés!

Gourmets will be delighted by the “Baguettes Création,” gourmet sandwiches made to order. Among the must-tries are “Le Marguerite,” a delicate blend of Brie de Meaux, green apples, and truffle cream. Another star of the menu, “L’Ernest,” combines chicken, grilled vegetables, and tapenade for an authentic pleasure. Each ingredient is carefully selected, favoring local products to ensure freshness and quality.

For those with a sweet tooth, the Financiers des Deux Magots come in four irresistible flavors: almond, hazelnut, pistachio, and chocolate. These delights, presented in charming “book boxes,” will please lovers of fine pastries, whether enjoyed on-site or taken away.
