The signature teas of Compagnie Coloniale are an enchantment to the most refined palates by their taste and sweetness since 1848.
Compagnie Coloniale’s teas : signature flavours
As one of the oldest tea houses in France Compagnie Coloniale has a 175-year-old expertise. reated in 1848 with its first tea factory located between the Bois de Boulogne and the Arc de Triumphe, considered as the beating heart of the French art de vivre at the belle époque. Compagnie Coloniale managed to convey to Paris and to all France its immoderate taste for tea , and the ones of Compagnie Coloniale have long carried this special voluptuousness.
The teas by Compagnie Coloniale drove their singularities from a method specific to the brand: it consists in flavouring them by steaming. Among those signature teas we can find the most desirable leaves, varieties, and crus.
Starting with the Earl Grey Superior tea also known as the “Must” of bergamot flavored teas. It consists in a mix of black Chinese teas flavored with bergamot, scattered with blueberry flowers and calendula.

Another iconic tea that plays its part in the house’s excellent reputation: the tea called China Extra A signature tea that, in 2022, celebrates its 85 years. So many decades where the combination of four great teas -Lapsang Souchong, Panyong, Grand Yunnan and Keemun- has inspired pleasure and voluptuousness!

Still, a large tea house like Compagnie Coloniale is always looking for freshness.
