There are some artists who never forget the point of their art and, with purely altruistic aims, bring treasures at the crossroads of different cultures into the world. This is how Michaël Bartocetti got his East-meets-West inspiration for an Easter egg tinged with notes of China and the rising sun. Dubbed “Son of the Chinese Dragon Tianlong” or “Sky Dragon”, the guardian of divine dwellings is today becoming the basis for an Easter egg created as the perfect symbol of a certain Sino-French heritage that’s omnipresent within the walls of the former dwelling of Prince Bonaparte.
The Sky Dragon is the very allegory of elevation towards a higher state – a figure of wisdom, strength, and happiness. The Tianlong Egg is presented in the same way: an unctuous mixture of the power of chocolate combined with the finesse of gianduia. This 66% dark chocolate from the Caribbean, with notes of grilled dry fruit, round and full of spices, makes for an exceptional lingering of a lightly wooded taste in the mouth. Within the walls of a dwelling from a time gone by, the harmonious tasting debuts with a fine layer of hazelnut gianduia – a touch of sweetness that makes for a moment of delicately cocoa-flavored crispiness. Composed of more than 200 scales individually put in place, then covered with a gold veil, the egg dazzles with the delicious complexity of its composition. Fruit of the chef-pâtissier’s lively spirit, the Sky Dragon is an invitation to let your imagination soar.
