The Chanel runway introduced a Fall/Winter 2016-2017 season that’s heavy on the Coco – sticking closest to the original silhouette developed by the Dame aux Camélias, Karl Lagerfeld was modernizing the style with a bit of masterful exaggeration. Without any particular theme, if not equestrian inspiration, Lagerfeld arrived at silhouettes that were each more desirable than the next.

From Coco Chanel’s debuts to a bold contemporary fashion, mixing legacy and modernity, the suit becomes even more desirable. Tightened or loosened with a zipper and slitted on the side, made of tweed, it’s paired with a classic short jacket but this time with a mesh leather iPhone pocket. With gold thread on a black background, the Chanel woman reunites with her past, charming and seductive like a woman who’s perfectly in touch with modern reality.
