The editor of Vogue Japan, Anna dello Russo, is signing off on a capsule collection that’s just like her own personality: chic and off-kilter. By bringing things into the beautiful circus universe, the Italian fashion editor composed a series of pieces as funny as they are desirable – this limited edition was made especially for Christmas. Anna dello Russo’s touch has already long conquered the fashion world. Now in the space of one collection, classics from Tod’s are getting reinvented upon contact with her unique style. The label’s legendary Gomminos, key element in any elegant getup, are turned upside down. A clown figure is now getting worked into the 133 rubber pebble-soled iconic moccasin.

“Going to the circus is like entering another world. The same goes for fashion: it allows you to transform yourself,” explains Anna dello Russo. The icons from Diego Della Valle’s brand are getting turned upside down with bright colors and off-beat prints that spruce up their designs. The famous Double T bag now sports the figure of a hilarious and touching clown. An elephant is transformed into a bag, while other leather goods are having fun too – this collection is decidedly festive. Stars, stripes, diamonds, feathers, sequins, noses and mouths, the Tod’s Circus collection titillates the senses and evokes pure fascination. This delight for the eyes completes the perfection of Tod’s craftsmanship – prestige and humor now go hand-in-hand. These are without a doubt the most desirable pieces of the holidays, and they’re already available in Tod’s stores as well as dedicated pop-up locations.
