This collection presents some very urban silhouettes. More casual than everything Bouchra Jarrar has previously presented, her Perfectos, the designer’s piece of choice, are none the less attractive for it. Her version of this icon of character is made to be ogled. Bouchra Jarrar is switching into couture gear to revisit the Perfecto; studded with seafoam green crystal by embroiderer Lesage, it is here paired with a silk muslin pleated skirt. And, in this French dressing room, the designer brings in a touch of sensuality with a play on soft asymmetry.
To update her brand’s icon, Jarrar added a leather sculpture just above the hips, as if to give the motorcycle jacket a golden ticket to a swanky cocktail mixer. The effect is sexy and charming. Perfectly wielding the art of the organic cut-out, the fashion house deconstructs the Perfecto’s classic shape to insert, on each side of the neck, a wisely deployed collar. Made super feminine, the rock’n’roll emblem is worn on top of a pair of fluid satin column pants, sometimes with wide color stripes. Crazy sophisticated!
