Nike and A.P.C are launching a fourth exclusive capsule collection of trainers, centered around Dunks and Air Max.
The French brand A.P.C, precursor of minimalist style, and the American sportswear giant Nike are continuing their collaboration this year after their success last summer. This season, the emblematic Dunks and Air Max will be honored: released in women’s and men’s versions, these 80s ghetto fab shoes are now immersing themselves in the refined Parisian universe of A.P.C.
With its air cushioning unit in the heel, the Air Max possesses athletic ergonomics that are especially appreciated by athletes themselves. Born in 1987, legend has it that its creator was inspired by the architecture of Paris’ Centre Pompidou during their conception. With A.P.C, the heel has gotten thinned down, while the synthetic fabric dyed in matte black or bright white gives it a resolutely more chic and urban allure.
Moving along, Dunks are a more urban shoe that Nike often spices up with different colors and materials. First seen on the basketball court, the coolest subcultures of the last few decades have since adopted them. Today A.P.C is making it a wardrobe essential: in beige or black, the brand is releasing the mythic Dunks in a smooth monochrome suede, giving street wear a modest and refined touch.
This collection is available in A.P.C’s stores and on their online shop.
